You can use the arrow keys, or select an item with the mouse. The icon displayed will change accordingly. An item can also be preselected by the server; the icon will appear correctly when the page loads. This doesn't work in IE, but doesn't break it either. It works properly using Firefox. I'm not sure about any other browsers!
